Jack Black and Paul Rudd Share Their Favorite Movies of All Time and Talk Anaconda

Just in time for the holidays, the mind behind The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, writer-director Tom Gormican, returns with a creature feature reboot we didn't know we needed. Anaconda, starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd, is finally slithering its way into theaters, and Collider's Steve Weintraub had the pleasure of sitting down with the two stars, not just to discuss what about the comedy appealed most to them, but also to discuss their favorite movies from some of Hollywood's most influential filmmakers.

Co-written by Gormican and writing partner Kevin Etten, Anaconda is not a follow-up sequel to the hit '90s movie, but a buddy comedy about a group of best friends, played by Black, Rudd, Steve Zahn, and Thandiwe Newton, who have shared a dream of remaking the "classic" Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez-starring horror since they were kids. Now, prompted by a midlife crisis, Doug (Black) and Griff (Rudd) rally a crude team of participants and head to the Amazon to make that dream a reality. Once there, however, a giant anaconda turns that dream into a nightmare, but the show must go on!
