This video shows you what is possible for anyone starting in watercolour. It is always important to start with the end in mind and so if you like this style of watercolour then all you need to do is start watching the beginners playlist and go from there. This painting was from a walk I did with my family and some friends on the weekend. We are now allowed to do a bush walk while remaining socially distant! We were on Jibbon Beach and looking back across to Cronulla. The light on the water was amazing! A lovely day with beautiful light due to the rain clouds that some how missed us!

I used cerulean blue, a mix of cobalt blue and light red, cobalt turquoise light, cobalt turquoise deep and a mix of winsor blue (red shade) and light red. The brightness of the day is the white of the page in the clouds and scraped back with a razor and metal ruler.

Rives BFK etching paper. Probably best to source this from your local store so you can look after the paper and not have it posted unless you are buying a large amount of paper and it will be looked after.
