City of Churches visits the 90 year old San Giuseppe Church on Manhattan's Lower East Side and its unique collection of religious statues.
Join host Anthony Mangano as he traces the roots of this historic neighborhood from the days when George Washington slept here to its eventual decline. It changed from a business district to a haven for poor immigrants whose donations built this church nearly a century go. Highlights include rare vintage photographs documenting this neighborhood as it looked 100 years ago, the story of the "Four Girls From Cherry Street", recent footage of the 125 year old St. Rocco procession, and a unique relic.
