Kelly's Diner was one of the communal hearts of Port Charles. As a young fan of the show, I can remember clearly walking onto this set when I was given a tour of the sound stage for the first time. I was in disbelief and wonder because I was a fan. Here is Kelly's Diner with the townsfolk celebrating Thanksgiving while Ruby and Jake were worried about Bobby's unknown whereabouts when she was in Florida undercover saving the runaway teens.
Perhaps I didn't realize at the time the good fortune that I had, but certainly with age, I look at the fellow castmates, so many of them have passed on, and my heart is filled with warmth, pride, gratitude for having had the blessing of being a small part of this wonderful show and experiencing the wonderful machine that makes this magic happen. And true, I also feel love, care, and sadness for some of these lovely souls who are no longer with us. Grateful. xo
