In this session, Ajahn Kovilo looks more closely at a particular kind of dukkha: Western Convert dukkha - through the lens of 3 lines from the Buddha's FIrst Discourse (p. 105 of this Amaravati Chanting Book - https://cdn.amaravati.org/wp-content/...
"appiyehi sampayogo dukkho" - "association with the disliked is dukkha"
"piyehi vipayogo dukkho" - "seperation from the liked is dukkha"
"yampicaṃ na labhati tampi dukkhaṃ" - "not to get what one wants is"
After looking at this dukkha, we take a deeper dive into 6 terms from that same Discourse (p 107) describing the cessation of dukkha and Ajahn Kovilo proviced some "Theravāda Tai Chi" movements to memorize these:
virāga - fading away
nirodho - cessation
cāgo - relinquishment,
Paṭinissaggo - letting go
Mutti - release
anālayo - without any attachment
