A tense situation resolved peacefully Wednesday evening as several of our deputies used their Crisis Intervention Team Training skills to convince a distraught man on the Golden Gate Parkway Bridge over I-75 to come to safety.
“This type of call demonstrates the value of CIT Training,” Sheriff Rambosk said. “Our professional deputies immediately turned to their CIT skills and training to bring this situation to a swift and positive resolution for everyone.”
Sheriff Rambosk also thanked FHP for shutting down I-75 and truck drivers who parked beneath the bridge during the incident.
