Son Tra Mountain

In the year of 2020 February 15, my brother in law Ti and I begin our journey in the city Da Nang Vietnam to Son Tra mountain. To see the the giant Lady Buddha statue 67 meters tall, Monkey mountain, the nickname comes from the population of endangered re-shanked Douc Langurs monkey. Panoramic views of Da Nang coastline, and the South China Sea, Hiking trails through lush jungle and viewpoints like Ban Co Peak, Pristine beaches like Bai But and Tien Sa around the peninsula, and the 800 year old banyan tree is located in the Son Tra Nature Reserve, about 10 km from Da Nang city center. The tree has a huge trunk with a circumference of 10 meters and dozens of aerial roots forming natural pillars. This tree is considered a "heritage tree" of Vietnam. A sacred site for locals, often linked with legends and spiritual beliefs.

Height: Roughly 693 meters above sea level.
Access: You can reach it by motorbike or bicycle. venture winding mountain roads. It's near trekking trails where you may also spot red-shanked douc langur monkeys.
