Lady Gaga Powers Through Mic Malfunction During Coachella 2025 Performance

Although Coachella 2025 is nearly done, Lady Gaga brought her all to Weekend 2 of the music festival.
The 14x Grammy winner returned to the Coachella main stage on Friday, where her head mic began glitching during ‘Abracadabra’, her second track of the night, but she powered through the choreography and soon re-emerged with a working hand mic.
“I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second,” Gaga later told the crowd. “At least you know I sing live. I guess all we can do is our best and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight.”

The pop superstar’s microphone went out while she was in the middle of performing “Abracadabra,” the lead single off her new album, “Mayhem.”
Gaga — who treats her Little Monsters to a fashion feast of several high-fashion looks throughout the festival concert — was dressed at the time in a larger-than-life red ruffled gown made by Jet Sets.
Lady Gaga didn’t let a technical issue put a damper on her Coachella 2025 performance.
During her headlining set on the second weekend of the Indio, Calif., festival on Friday (April 18), the 39-year-old pop icon’s microphone began to cut out during just the second song of her set, “Abracadabra.”
At one point, before she moved to a different part of the Coachella stage, Gaga, 39, obtained a regular handheld microphone to use, instead of the headset microphone she had on.
Holding the mic in one hand and a cane in her other, the musician continued with the performance without missing a single step. Gaga eventually came back onstage equipped with a new headset piece not long after.
Later during the show, while sitting before a piano, Gaga addressed the mishap. "I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second. At least you know I sing live," she said with a laugh, then adding, “I guess all we can do is our best, and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight."
