Cultivating a relationship with death and moving towards acceptance of it as a natural part of life is a profound and personal journey. Here you are invited to consider a deeper understanding of the dying experience and the possibility of a community-centered approach to both life and death. By acknowledging and accepting the smaller, symbolic "d" deaths that occur throughout life, such as relationship or career changes or any personal transformations, you may discover that "D" death is inherent in the richness of human experience. Dr. Aditi Sethi is a hospice and palliative care physician, end-of-life doula, and musician. Featured in the documentary “The Last Ecstatic Days,” Aditi is an emerging and important voice for shifting our culture’s understanding and approach to dying, death, and bereavement care.
