As multiple challengers rose and fell throughout the fourth round, Spieth joined Victorian Ash Hall and young Queenslander Cam Smith in a playoff. And while all three withstood the pressure of the cauldron of the club's famous closing ampitheatre to find the green in regulation, it was Spieth's famous putting stroke that came to the fore, ramming home a birdie for his second Australian crown.
