One of Amtrak's more interesting changes during the 2017 "Summer of Hell" at New York Penn Station was to terminate some Empire Services at Grand Central. I did not want to pass up this opportunity to get some rare mileage so close to home!
Before boarding Amtrak Empire Service #235 out of Grand Central, we are at Harlem-125th Street to catch some interesting trains. After some more Metro-North and Amtrak action at Yonkers, we board Amtrak #284 southbound to Penn Station.
