The Mascarat Ravine is a gorge that opens in the terrain between the towns of Altea and Calpe, in the province of Alicante.
Until the 19th Century, this canyon made an easy and comfortable path between one town and the other impossible, forcing the transport carriages to make a dangerous and difficult journey over the Calpe pass.
In this episode we take the short walk from the coast that winds it's way up and into the mountain range, and along the way we will discuss the legends that surround the path as well as it's importance to the area.
