The video here is a narrative derived for my N scale layout. The Maine Central boxcar was a gift from a good friend, so I decided to do something cool with it. Most of my diesel fleet is Kato-powered.
The narrative:
Welcome to Industrialville, a unique model railway town! This local train, powered by two SD40 locomotives, travels through a landscape devoid of grass and scenery. The entire ground surface is made of plywood, making it a truly undistinctive model railroad.
For the video here, Aurora Co-op (ACOX) 6111, a Kato SD40-2, is loaned out to my odd little N scale version of the Burlington Northern. The unfinished nature of this layout sans scenery is not enough of a deterrent to keep me from shooting a short narrative story, all because a friend gave me a boxcar. Felt warranted.
For the record, number boards were added to the 6111 after this video was shot and edited.
