More than twenty years after his death, Marlon Brando remains an almost mythical figure – a brooding icon of 20th-century cinema whose talent revolutionized acting, but whose private life was a chaotic mess of turmoil and tragedy.
Brando’s story is one of stunning professional triumphs and deep-rooted personal problems and in this biographical documentary we trace his life from his troubled Midwestern childhood through his meteoric rise to fame in Hollywood, stormy love affairs and bold political activism and into the solitude and heartbreaks of his later reclusive years.
Prof Graeme Yorston explores the dramatic life of Marlon Brando, not just the acting legend on screen, but the complex man off-screen, with all his passions, struggles, and excesses, from his perspective as a psychiatrist
