For me, “Embryonic Journey” is a journey into the past. When it appeared on the Jefferson Airplane album, "Surrealistic Pillow" in 1966 I liked it, but I didn’t know what to make of it. Being a novice guitar player, I had no idea it was just one person. When I realized it was just one guy, I couldn’t resist trying to learn it. It ended up being the first guitar solo I learned by ear, and I still like playing it. I consider Jorma one of the teachers I never met. I hope you enjoy this “organic echo” performance, compliments of our halfway remodeled, temporarily empty dining room.
