Video Description:
Students!
The youth of today are taking to wrong ways; they are wasting time and turning the sacred life into an unholy one.
Out of the 84 lakhs of species of living beings, no other species has as many desires as human beings have.
Even for beasts, birds, and demons there is a limit to the number of desires they have.
Humans have got a sacred life, but they have innumerable desires, even more than the demons, animals and birds. Because of these desires, the humans who are supposed to enjoy and spread the bliss are suffering from sadness and restlessness.
Try to reduce these worldly desires and try to develop the desire for God.
Gradually try to decrease the delusion that the world is real.
Renunciation does not mean giving up materialistic things.
Giving up bad feelings and bad thoughts in your own heart is detachment. Going away to the forest, leaving family and house is not detachment.
In the first instance, exercise control over bad thoughts.
Just as self-realisation is extremely important, punishing oneself is also necessary.
Appropriate punishment also needs to be given for the mistakes committed.
Say you have got some bad ideas and bad thoughts one day. Inquire that these have come because of bad food and bad company. Think for yourself that this is bad for you and hence, punish yourself by not partaking food that today.
However, a particular weakness is increasing in humans.
People commit mistakes, errors, and think it is all very natural for human beings. Committing mistakes and faults is not at all natural for human beings. It is not correct and it is a big mistake to justify the wrong doings as human nature.
If you go on thinking this is natural for human beings, this trait will increase in you.
Committing mistakes is the nature of wicked people.
Who is a wicked person? Demons are the wicked ones.
The ones with wicked qualities are Danavas (demons).
These demons have Rajo Guna.
We are not demons.
We should not excuse any such bad thoughts or mistakes within ourselves.
This is not our real nature.
Our real nature is Love.
Our very form is Truth.
Our duty is to carry out acts according to Righteousness.
It is Dharma, which surrounds us.
Only when you carry out your tasks with the sense of righteousness and sacrifice, it becomes Yoga.
When Dharma mixes with attachment, it leads to bondage.
We should not mix mystery with Dharma.
Even if it is Dharma, if it is associated with mystery, then we have to face the associated Karma.
A small example.
Dharma Raja (Yudhisthira) was the very embodiment of Dharma.
When he was asked to utter the words, ‘Ashwatthama Hatah Kunjaraha’ by Krishna, he uttered the words Ashwatthama Hatah (Ashwathama is dead) loudly and uttered Kunjaraha (an elephant) in a slightly less audible way (to create mystery).
Mixing this element of secrecy in that war of Kurukshetra resulted in Dharma Raja suffering hell for a brief period.
It is because of mixing Marma with Dharma that resulted in Dharma Raja spending that brief time in hell.
So do not mix Marma with Dharma.
Dharma is the personification of Divinity.
It does not suffice if you merely utter ‘Rama is the very personification of Dharma’.
We have to practice such Dharma.
We have to experience it with joy.
Under any circumstances, you should not get disgusted with Dharma.
Today we are calling ourselves as devotees.
What are the qualities of a true devotee? Do we have them?
We delude ourselves by saying we have offered everything to Swami. If you have offered everything to Swami, why do you still have the bad qualities of attachment and hatred?
All the bad qualities, you have kept with yourselves.
You are offering only the good words to Swami.
You offer all your bad qualities to Me. Take love and good qualities from Me. Carry out your Sadhana to accomplish this.
When these bad qualities are with Swami, they don’t harm anyone.
When these bad qualities are with you, they will hurt you and harm you.
When the lion or tiger is in the circus with their master, they will not harm him.
