Two Video's in One! I'm combining two older video's here for anyone who missed them, and yet still might enjoy them.
The first video is a combination of two iconic lines, filmed by @HotAches during the spring of 2008. The lower part of Requiem E8 (5.13b/c) and the upper part of Rhapsody E11 (5.14b/c). I named this line Direquiem because it finishes directly on the summit of the wall, but it's also the most direct way to get there. I apologize for the profanity. I climbed this on pre-placed gear. About a week later, conditions cooled off dramatically and I managed to climb Rhapsody for my second time, placing all the gear on lead, which was a personal goal of mine when I travelled to Scotland. The rock there is both super inspiring and of impeccable quality, it was such a fun trip!
The second video is an uncut, ground up shot of Family Man, 5.14b, from 2014. This is another pure gear climb, runout, and harder than Direquiem, but not as hard as Rhapsody. It's a mix of steep bouldering and crack climbing. I climbed up to place the first few pieces of small gear, because if they were to fail, I would most certainly have hit the rock slab below. I then down climbed, rested for a minute or two, and continued to the top of the climb. I named it Family Man, because my family came to cheer me on.
I hope you enjoy.
