Parent & Link lets you connect one layer to another. When the parent moves, rotates, or scales, the child layer follows automatically.
The new update makes it faster and easier to link multiple layers and animate groups without keyframing each one.

Description (Simple):
Track Matte allows you to hide or show parts of a layer using another layer. After Effects added a new dedicated Track Matte dropdown that is easier to use — no need to place layers above or below manually.

Key Points:

Make text reveal, shape reveal animations

Works like a mask controlled by another layer

New UI is easier and faster

No layer rearranging needed now
