A study about the history of the Christian and Adventist revival and reformation movement. First look at the later history of the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. Large revival and reformation movements do not happen often. In every revival reformation movement, there are powerful forces trying to destroy it. In revival it is a time when both God and the devil work.
In 1888, God sent to the Seventh-day Adventist Church General Conference in Minneapolis two young preachers. And a pattern was set at that time that has happened at every attempt to bring revival, reformation into the second advent movement. When the Lord sends a message, there's always some that accept it, but the majority do not.
And in 1901 Ellen White said, "We have to have a reorganization." They reorganized so they didn't have a hierarchical organization anymore. In 1903 moves were made to change it back to a hierarchical system. Since 1903 we have had hierarchical church organization in the seventh day Adventist church right up to the present day.
