『Hello Goodbye』には、THE SQUAREの遊び心と音楽的挑戦がぎゅっと詰まっている
ビートルズのカバーですが、それを**爽やかなフュージョン・インストゥルメンタルに大胆アレンジしている。
　1983年のアルバム『うち水にRainbow』の1曲目として収録されていて、アルバムの最後にはリプライズも登場。つまり、始まりと終わりをこの曲で包んでいる。
　まるで「こんにちは」と「さようなら」が音楽の旅の入口と出口になってるみたいに。
　演奏面では、イントロのドラムが特に印象的で、バンドでコピーした人も多いみたいです。
　原曲の雰囲気とはまったく違うけど、確かに“Hello Goodbye”の魂はそこにあるって感じがします。
　この曲がTHE SQUAREのオリジナルアルバムに収録された「最後のカバー曲」でもあり。そう思うと、彼らの音楽の節目を飾るような存在だったのかもしれません。

"Hello Goodbye" is packed with THE SQUARE's playful spirit and musical adventure.
It's a cover of a Beatles song, boldly arranged into a refreshing fusion instrumental.
It opens on the 1983 album "Rainbow in the Water," and a reprise appears at the end of the album. In other words, the song encompasses both the beginning and the end.
It's as if "hello" and "goodbye" are the entrance and exit of a musical journey.
In terms of performance, the drums in the intro are particularly impressive, and many bands have apparently copied it.
While the atmosphere is completely different from the original, the spirit of "Hello Goodbye" is definitely there.
This song was also THE SQUARE's last cover song to appear on an original album. In that sense, it may have marked a milestone in their musical career.
