Making and casting two part plaster molds for your masks, props, and hands can be challenging, so Ed walks you through the process step by step to show you how we do it, the Distortions Unlimited way.

Ed teaches you how to lay up the dam for the mold, how to mix the plaster, put the plaster on the the sculpture, how to use hemp fiber to make it stronger, and finally how to separate and clean the mold. We hope you enjoy this Monster Lab!

IMPORTANT - We 1 mold for both hands because we are a company and use it for mass production but we recommend that YOU make two SEPARATE two part molds for each hand. That way the molds will be lighter and easier to work with.

** Really important - Don't pour your plaster down the sink or clean your plaster buckets in the sink as it may damage pipes.

Mold Making materials you will need include plaster, WED clay, water, hemp fiber, safety goggles, a table, and various sculpting tools. We recommend you watch the whole video a couple of times before attempting your first 2 piece plaster mold.
