Infinitives are the basic/simple/dictionary version of a verb.
For today’s grammar lesson, we’ll be using them in four different ways.
1. after some verbs
I want to
I need to
I’d like to
2. after adjectives
Nice to meet you!
It’s important to do your homework?
I’m happy to help!
3. after question words
I don’t know what to do.
I don’t know who to ask.
Does he know what to wear?
Does he know when to arrive?
4. to say why / give a reason
I’m watching this video to improve my English.
I went to the store to buy groceries.
I came here to learn about English grammar.
