2008 ASTON MARTIN DBS – MANUAL

This superb, low mileage, low owners and ‘collector grade’ 2008 Aston Martin DBS Manual, a ‘one of one’, being the only example of this highly desirable model to have been finished in the stunning (Ferrari) colour of Grigio Titanio.

Undoubtedly, one of the greatest hits of the famed 1st generation Gaydon production era, which started with the introduction of the DB9 in 2004 and finished when the DB11 was introduced in 2017, the DBS, specified with the 6-speed manual transmission, continues to be one of the most sought-after models by enthusiasts of the marque and has all the right ingredients for future classic status.

The DBS model was first introduced to the world in Daniel Craig’s debut 007 movie, Casino Royale, where it played a starring role. The reaction to the menacing DBS, worldwide, was spectacular with Aston Martin dealers enjoying full order books on launch. Customer deliveries of the DBS commenced in 2007.

Whilst related to the DB9, the DBS packed a lot more punch. The normally aspirated V12 engine produced 510bhp and for the first time in the marque’s history, Carbon Ceramic Brake discs were used. The DBS was also considerably lightened with the use of carbon fibre for some body panels.

Initially, no doubt to differentiate the DBS from the DB9 and to position the model within the company’s product line up as the more dynamic, focused model, the DBS was originally only available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Being one of the last sports GT cars available with a V12 engine and manual transmission, it is this configuration, in particular, that has gone on to be much lusted after by the enthusiast motoring community.
It is one of those cars that we now offer for sale.

First registered in December 2008 and finished in Grigio Titanio (Out of range colour) over Obsidian Black semi aniline hides with Obsidian black Alcantara seats inserts, this 2009 model year example features, in addition the usual high specifications of the DBS, optional extras including 2+0 seating, Piano Black fascia panel, auto dimming rear view mirror and 20 spoke wheels.

Using data supplied by the Aston Martin Heritage Trust, we are able to confirm just how rare the colour of Grigio Titanio (which we happen to think the DBS wears ever so well!) was; only 8 DBS were finished in this colour. 6 of which were UK RHD cars with this being the only manual gearbox example. Therefore, unique!

Benefitting from annual servicing at Aston Martin main agents and in our own workshops, our pre-sales inspection confirms this example to be in superb condition throughout. The exterior of the car being virtually unmarked, protected in most areas by PPF and the interior displaying only the lightest evidence of use. In fact, we would be inclined to offer that this may be one of the finest examples we have offered for sale, to date.
