I finally finished rebuilding my BMW F800GS and decided to take it out on dirt. First trail? The back road from Lake Pleasant to Crown King, AZ.
Big mistake!
First of all, I have very limited experience riding in the dirt and I should have picked an easier trail to get started. Secondly, even for experienced dirt riders, this trail is not really meant for mid-sized bikes. Finally, I went on my own and had to deal with getting my bike over numerous boulders on my own. I was exhausted! I'm very lucky I'm made it to the top. It took me 3:40h to make 24 miles of trail. Never say never, but I doubt I'll be attempting that trail again with this bike.
