On August 25, 2017, a campaign of targeted violence was waged against the Rohingya in Rakhine state by the Myanmar military. This led to more than 700,000 Rohingya fleeing to Bangladesh and Malaysia to seek refuge. Now four years on, their struggle still continues. Listen to Dr Veena Pillai, a Malaysian currently working with Doctors Without Borders in Bangladesh, share her first-hand account of supporting the Rohingya community in both Malaysia and Bangladesh and witnessing the struggles they face with accessing healthcare.
