How to convert a Impreza Wagon bumper to match up and fit with the wheel arch line of a sedan rear quarter conversion.
The wagon wheel arch is different than a sedan. If you properly convert the rear end of an Impreza wagon to use Impreza sedan rear quarters, the wagon bumper will not line up along the arch. A sedan bumper cannot be used because the overall width is different, as well as the shape of the bumper around the hatch versus the shape of a sedan trunk. The tail lights are also closer together on a wagon versus a sedan.
This video goes over the whole process of removing the appropriate amount of bumper material to line up the wheel arches, how to modify the metal mounting plates that are riveted onto the back of the bumper, how to plastic weld the bumper back together, and how to body work the modification so that it looks like it was made that way.
