Riamfetol works similar to Adderall by increasing norepinephrine and dopamine in the synaptic cleft. This does not increase the amount of these two neurtransmitters in the brain, but it increases their availability. Sonosi or Riamfetol is indicated for obstructive, sleep apnea and narcolepsy. This drug may have other uses. The uses are cognitive, slowing, enhanced performance, in terms of cognitive exercises, depression, chronic fatigue and attention deficit disorder. The drug is non-controlled non-addicting and very low risk of overdose. The major side effects are headache, insomnia, sweating, decreased appetite and G.I. disturbances. It is a well tolerated drug and it is safe.
