THE AMAZING TOY SOLDIER COLLECTION OF IVOR HUGH

Here is just a small portion of the very large and unique toy soldier collection of my father the late Ivor T. Hugh. I made this video just two months before my dad "made the transition to a wonderful and better world" as he put it. It was a wonderful week we spent together. As I was photographing the various figures and setting them against different coloured backdrops, I'd have a question about how best to show them, and he'd look at it, and make a suggestion or two: "I think that Grenadier would look better on the left", or "let's put that Ninth Lancer a bit more front and center". His knowledge of all the figures, and the history behind them, was encyclopedic.
I can think of no better way to honor him than with music and these photos of the Britains figures he loved so much.
This video only touches on some of the highlights; there are over two thousand pieces of Britains Military, Farm and Zoo figures. It was his wish to sell them, in three parts (Farm, Zoo, Military) or in its entirety.
