I wanted to analyse another performance of Lara Fabian, but was looking for something live, and something more recent. That's when I found this clip of her performing together with the cellist, Hauser. What a beautiful combination of artists!
We can learn so much about artists when they perform live. Studio recordings can be misleading - not always, but often. Reason obviously being that artists can redo a phrase or word until it is satisfactory to them in the studio, whereas you only get ONE opportunity to sing/play each note/word/line in a live performance.
These to seasoned performers made beautiful music together, a real duet between cello and voice. Join me as I chat about what makes this so good, and please let me know your thoughts in the comments!
