Serial killer Robert Maudsley spends 23 hours a day in jail in his cell – and underground glass box - at wakefield prison. Jailed for murdering convicted child molester John Farrel , in 1974.
The decision by the authorities I that that is where he will stay until he dies –he is now deemed to be so dangerous that he is no longer allowed to associate with other prisoners or even guards, because since being in jail he has murdered three other inmates.
Maudsley named Hanniball the Cannibal – based on Dr. Hannibal Lecter the fictional character created by the American novelist Thomas Harris - a serial killer who eats his victims.
