The Making of a Segmented Bowl with a Diamond Feature Ring

This segmented bowl was made with Padauk, Sapele, Cherry and Maple hard woods. The process began with cutting the wood into different widths and lengths based on the needs of the project. The strips were then cut into segments. Rings of different segments were then made and ran through a drum sander. Following this the rings were glued together in the appropriate formation making the bowl. Then the fun begins with turning the bowl on the lathe.
