Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Damson Idris along with seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, former champion Jenson Button and other current F1 drivers walked the red carpet in New York for the world premiere of “F1: The Movie.”
In the film, Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a phenom from 1990s whose career ended after an accident. Thirty years later he makes his return to a team on the brink of failing.
Bardem plays the owner of the Formula 1 racing team that convinces Pitt’s character to come back.
The movie is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Jospeh Kosinski.
"F1: The Movie” opens in theaters on June 27.
