St John's and Falmouth Harbours were abuzz with cruise tourists on Tuesday, as six vessels carried close to 13-thousand passengers to the nation's shores.
Five ships docked in St John's and another in Falmouth.
These are the second-highest single-day arrival figures so far for the season, after the 15,662 on December 4.
Even higher numbers are expected later this month, while a fresh record is expected for January 23 next year, when over 17-thousand passengers are expected to arrive here in a single day.
Taxi operators and others welcomed the sight of the town teeming with tourists on Tuesday, but also have some recommendations of their own.
