Salisbury Railex 2025 Part 2

The Salisbury & South Wilts Railway Society held its 2025 Exhibition at the Thruxton Racing Circuit over the weekend of 17th/18th May. An interesting variety of layouts were on display. Thanks to the organisers and exhibitors for an enjoyable few hours.

00:20 Wantage Tramway - 009 gauge. An interpretation of what the Wantage Upper Yard might have looked like had it been built as a narrow gauge railway in the 1920s.

07:09 Shaftesbury Parkway, Templecombe Collection - N gauge. A partly modernised junction station set in the South & West featuring locomotives & units carrying the Templecombe name.
08:30 Brucklees - 12mm gauge; 4mm scale. Brucklees station on the County Donegal Railway, which was noted for its pioneering use of railcars.
09:55 Tidworth Network SouthEast - 00 gauge. What if the Midland & South Western Railway between Romsey & Swindon had survived as a secondary route to Southampton.
17:31 Bournemouth West - 00 gauge. A portrayal of Bournemouth West station and area in the period 1959 to 1963.
23:48 Great Bardfield - P4 gauge. Fictitious small terminus station set in Essex in the mid to late 1950s.
25:26 Woodbury Wharf - 009 gauge. Small narrow gauge railway serving a canal wharf and warehouse building
26:39 Brooklands - 0 gauge. Construction of the Brooklands racing circuit near Weybridge, Surrey
