KTDA Wins 11 out of the 15 trophies at the Embu ASK Show

The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) emerged as the best exhibition stand at the 55th edition of the Eastern Kenya Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show, taking home an impressive 11 trophies. Among the accolades, KTDA won the prestigious trophy for Best Agroprocessing Plant.
Elija Njue, the Factory Unit Manager at Kathangariri Tea Factory, highlighted that the display captivated the judges with its comprehensive presentation. It featured a detailed showcase of energy conservation practices, community efforts to combat climate change, and a model farm illustrating diversification for alternative revenue streams. The display also included informative exhibits on tea propagation and the entire journey of tea, from farm to cup. He said KTDA's win underscores its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community engagement in the agricultural sector. The regional exhibition has brought together 72 exhibitors an increase from 62 last according to the Chair Martin Mutwiri who noted the attendants had also significant ly increaaed.
