The Final Leg: Driving 4,200 Miles from Georgia to Alaska | Snowy Arrival in Fairbanks
This is it—the final episode of our epic move from Atlanta, GA to Fairbanks, AK in October 2024!
After 4,200 miles and countless memories, we woke up in Tok, Alaska to a huge surprise: snow. Lots of it. With no experience towing a 24-foot cargo trailer through winter roads, we took it slow—20 to 30 mph—on a stressful but unforgettable 207-mile drive into Fairbanks. Along the way, we met another brave soul towing through the snow for the first time too.
We passed through Delta Junction, marking the official end of the Alaska Highway. It took us 7 hours to finish this leg of the trip, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the warm welcome—and the freshly plowed driveway—from our new neighbors.
📍 Route: Tok ➝ Delta Junction ➝ Fairbanks
