Today we're comparing the Marshall JTM45 to the Fender Bassman in the test to see just how different two such similar amps can really sound.
I've set the eq almost exactly the same on both amps. I'm guessing a lot of the tone difference comes down to speakers, and maybe the power tube section.
Guitars used are a 2006 Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Fender AVRI '65 Stratocaster. No pedals other than a tuner.
