Isonzo: Adamello - Lange Pistole P08 "Artillery Luger" & Petardo Offensivo PO Showcase (New Weapons)

A WW1 FPS game set in Italian front from 1915 to 1917 with weapons include pistols, rifles, melee, machine guns, and other experimental weapons.

I felt like I have largely ignore this game due to playing Red Dead 2 since Isonzo gave me a mental conditions, so badly, in the past 2 years since the game launched back in 2022. Because I've finally bought Xbox One, I have re-purchased Isonzo along with Verdun and Tannenberg. The Xbox One version runs better than my PC. Though aiming is very hard, but all that matter is the frame rate is so much better. Now I can record my beloved WW1 games. Will that change my opinion? Let's find out. And yes, this is my first time uploading a Isonzo video with a Xbox One console instead.

2 months later, Blackmill Games released a new expansion Adamello, that quickly. When I say quickly I mean I've been minding my own business since I went a unannounced hiatus for yet a whole month. But who cares. 2024 was a thin ice for me since I got fired from my job.

So let's start with a Adamello map. You would be surprised for me to say this, but for the first time ever, I have NO complains for frame rate issues. Period. The map runs fine as all the other maps since my console is more powerful than my computer. Anyways what I describe the map is vainly similar to Marmolada, but Adamello is very open. It is compensated by being very hilly since Italians and Austrians are like literally at the top of the world that the terrain will get very rugged. Is it a good map? Consider it's a very open map, surely it's a haven for snipers.

They added two new weapons. Yes. Two weapons that I consider a new grenade a weapon which I will explain later in the next paragraph. But let's start with the Lange Pistole P08 "Artillery Luger". Don't me mind being recorded in Caporetto as, despite being rainy and suck-ish tone, I slowly started to like the map as it felt balanced and longer compared to two other German faction maps.

Anyways it's really good gun! I would consider it to be the best pistol, but because German faction only have three maps to play I cannot rank it higher. Comparing to Roth-Steyr M1907, being the best pistol in my opinion, this one holds over 94 reserved ammo compared to 60 from Austrian mauser like pistol. The weapon sway is a lot more steadier out of all sidearms. 32 clips is enough to prolong fire fights a lot longer. The only small grip is it can more likely do two shot like other pistols besides Roth pistol, but damage doesn't matter cuz of it's large ammo size.

To say it can be given to German assault and engineer is a recipe for fun. I started with German assault class and it's frankly better than the nerfed MG 08/15. Sure a 94 reserved ammo for Artillery Luger is 6 times smaller than a 100, but they really fucked up the German machine gun so badly that they made it useless and I'm still mad that Blackmill Games are still not listening to my feedback. This carbine pistol allows you to be more conservative, aggressive, and spammy compared to that sorry ass machine gun. So yeah. Artillery Luger is the better support weapon for German assault class. As for the German engineer class, if they given Austrian engineers a Mosin to replace that shitty Mannlicher rifle, then I say it's even better than the two carbine rifles in every single way.

As for the Petardo Offensivo PO grenade like oh my fucking god this is basically THE impact grenade like that Battlefield 1 game and I love it! This is best grenade ever in Isonzo and I do not care what anyone has to say! But the only three bad parts that I'll get to it first. It has a weak radius damage that it requires two throws to kill an enemy and getting to close will damage you. The good part is it can instantly kill enemies if hit directly at them. Especially throwing straight to the ground will make you respawn. Like it's so fun and easy to use that I always see them fly to death. The third bad part is only Italians can use these fun grenades, but that what counters their weak arsenal compared to Germans and Austrians. I mean, every single grenades but this is so hard to use as enemies move a lot and never stay in one place since the fuse are so slow.

Overall this update and it's expansion is really really good since the Caporetto. I like the map, the new gun, and that fun grenade. As for my critical opinions about the game, it's slowly start to die down now that I got to play the Xbox console. The question is will my hate die down. If I manage to unlock all the weapons, then I'll think about it. The cosmetics, ehhh I'll spend one for the last Solstice map. Who knows it would either come out next year by two months or five freaking months. But for now, I'll evaluate my opinions about the game. Mostly on the Xbox version.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THEY BETTER FIX THAT MG 08/15 FOR THE LAST EXPANSION UPDATE OR I'LL FUCKING SCREAM!!!!
