Shooting Komodo X at Night in the Rain + Gear breakdown with Nick Dabas

Cinematographer Nick Dabas built a RED Komodo X rig using DZOFilm Vespid Primes to shoot a BMW M3 at night and in the rain. He decided on the CreamSource Vortex which is waterproof and delivers a strong output. For other shots, he went with the Matthews Master Car Mount and the DJI RS3 Pro with the Tilta Nucleus Nano II. The goal was to test the RED Komodo X's low-light capabilities in addition to its shadow detail, of which he was very satisfied with the results.

Nick Dabas is a director of photography based in New York City. Nick's passion for still image photography brought him to filmmaking where the creative process and different cinematic production techniques piqued his interest.
