UPDATE: IT IS RAVEL'S 1903 FUGUE! An early version, but still! Thank you to Kiserlet for letting me know!
Possibly Ravel's 1903 Fugue written for the Prix de Rome? The auction listing states that his "Fugue for four voices, composed by Ravel at the time of his third attempt at the Prix de Rome competition. Musical piece comprising 81 bars with subject, response, countersubject and coda, and 6 strettas. On the back of a leaf, Ravel sketched the first three bars of his chorus La Nuit. "Nuit bienfaisante! Nuit, mère des molles trêves." but La Nuit was written for the 1902 Prix de Rome. The key matches with what a few sources say is M.36, but I'm not too sure. Anyhow, until the BnF posts it, here's what we have!
