A brief introduction to the Bothy Code from the Mountain Bothy Association. Explore in a responsible and sustainable manner to ensure these excellent facilities are kept going.
If you can last past the silly intro, there's some useful stuff (honest).
Update - There are some estates, in the Cairngorms for example, that ask you leave dead wood lying to aid with regeneration. (This applies, for example, to Corrour, Hutchison Memorial Hut, Ryvoan and Ruighe Aiteachain (Feshie Bothy) and the non-MBA Bob Scott's Bothy - Thanks to Neil for this information.
