Maryam Shojaie is an Iranian painter, poet, and writer whose professional artistic journey began in 1991. Over the decades, she has held several acclaimed solo exhibitions at prominent galleries in Tehran, including Bamdad Gallery, Kaveh Gallery, Amin Gallery, and most recently H Gallery. Her work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions both in Iran and internationally, including the Museum of Contemporary Arts, Golestan Gallery, the International Exhibition of World Galleries in Iran, and shows in Istanbul and Mashhad.
Beyond her exhibitions, Maryam has dedicated years to teaching visual art and the language of image, while also pioneering research in photo art painting in Iran. Her multidisciplinary practice extends to literature, with the publication of her poetry collection Somewhere Behind the Laughter.
Her work reflects a deep exploration of memory, dreams, and human experience, blending visual and literary expression into a unified artistic voice.
