The correct preparation of your planting site is essential to the success of your hedging plants, as it will provide the optimum conditions for the plants root system to develop and will provide all the nutrients that your new hedge will require for strong growth. Preparing your site for planting involves the removal of any surrounding weeds, adding organic matter to the planting hole and applying a root treatment or fertiliser to encourage healthy development.
