Hyundai Elantra Touring - Fixing Your Door Lock Actuator in 21 "Easy" Steps

Follow along as I replace my broken power lock on my Hyundai Elantra Touring 2012. The motor that operates the lock has worn out. I ended up replacing the lock actuator assembly as well as the interior door handle.

Steps:

1. Remove trim panel
2. Position window
3. Unhook wire harness
4. Detatch window
5. Suspend window
6. Remove interior door handle
7. Push boot through door body panel
8. Loosen door lock actuator assembly
9. Remove door lock
10. Remove door panel
11. Free lock assembly
12. Remove lock assembly wire harness
13. Transfer mounting brackets
14. Assemble mounting brackets
15. Remount lock actuator
16. Secure lock actuator
17. External door assembly
18. Secure door panel
19. Reseat window
20. Install interior handle
21. Reinstall trim
