The most important thing to remember to make this as easy as possible is to make sure to have a power bomb as the actual fight against the whale begins. You can immediately take out nearly 3 bars of his health with the attack. The other thing to focus on is learning to dodge the red, heat-seeking torpedoes at the right times. These are by far the greatest threat on the screen at any given moment. This time trial is largely the same as the original whale level. You won't really be able to afford to grab health after the boss fight begins because you need the laser to take out the whale's health quickly enough.
I am only planning to include the time trials I thought were hard and/or extremely hard. If there are any trials I don't cover that you think should be let me know and I'll try to add them when I have some time.
