DIY Fitted Fold Down Rise Serged Cloth Nappy/Diaper

Are you looking for a solution for your heavy wetter? Want a nappy that can be easily boosted for nighttime use? Look no further a fitted is what you need. Fitteds are much more breathable then trading MCN’s as they do not have PUL and require a cover for longer wear or wearing under clothes. However if your at home and live in a warm climate then a fitted is a great alternative to having Bub in plastic all day long. Pattern Used:

Fabric:
Outer Layer (cotton lycra, cotton, fleece, swim etc)
Hidden middle layer (bamboo terry or fleece, cotton, flannel, muslin basically anything absorbent)
Inner Layer - touching babies skin (micro fleece, suedecloth , velour, cotton etc)

** you don’t need to to and buy anything you can search around your house, old T-shirts with cool prints would totally work for a nice outer, old tea towels can be used for your inner layer and an old micro fleece jumper or flannel pjs would work for the inner or even Spotlight sells mircopolar fleece (that’s the same a micro fleece they just call it different names).

Bits and bobs:
Kam snaps size 20
Pen
Fabric maker
Ruler
Rotary cutter or scissors
Clips or pins
505 spray adhesive (this isn’t necessary you can just clip but I know some prefer it)
Thread

Equipment:
Sewing machine (straight stitch only)
Overlocker/serger
Kam snap press (if selling your nappies this is a must) if not you can use hand snap pliers off eBay but a snap press is a lot easier)
