Sony FX3 and FX30 Get BIG Update | Digital Cinematics

Sony’s biggest firmware update for FX3 & FX30 is here (August 2025) – and it’s FREE!
In this video, we’ll cover everything you need to know about this new update:
What the BIG 6 Menu is and how to activate it on FX3 & FX30.
The brand new 1.5× & 1.6× Anamorphic De-Squeeze Display option – how it improves monitoring.

Firmware update paths: FX3 (v7.00) and FX30 (v6.00) with safe update instructions.
Other key improvements: Fixed/Variable mode in S&Q, Focus Magnifier support, USB-LAN auto-connect, Relay Recording status, ND metadata, Clip Flag, Creator’s Cloud integration, and more.
The update can be done via the Sony Creator App or the old-school way with an SD card/Type-A card directly in your camera. Just make sure your firmware file is named exactly bodydata.dat and always use a fully charged Sony battery during the update.
