World Championship on Sport Capoeira

World Championship on capoeira that has been impatiently expected for a long time, finally, approaches. On May 30 - June 01, 2013 the championship that will be organized by World Capoeira Federation (WCF) in Baku, Capital of Azerbaijan, will significantly differ from previously organized competitions. Thus, the world championships held earlier on capoeira, mainly, was being held within one international capoeira group. As an example for this, world championships organized by "Muzenza" and "Maculele" international capoeira groups can be shown. However, all teams from international capoeira groups will be able to participate in this competition that will be organized by WCF. Teams from more than 80 countries and nearly, 20 international capoeira groups have been invited to this tournament.

One more main distinguishing feature of this competition is that athletes will be provided with free hotel, meals and transport within the program (for detail information please, click here). As a result of this, federations and schools whose financial positions are low for a long time will be able to participate in the championship (without any payment).

Referees, mainly, have been chosen from the masters and professors with sufficient experience on capoeira and their belonging to different groups of capoeira will contribute to an objective and fair evaluation of athletes during the championship.

After the online registration, the members of teams- athletes, coaches, fans etc. will receive a confirmation letter in their email and thus will participate in the events.
