Mercedes Headlight Lens Cover Damage Repair

You might have experienced damage to your headlight on Your Mercedes, particularly to the lens cover part. As long all other aspects of the headlight are working, you can still save the headlight, by replacing just the front lens cover.

I have repaired one light in the past and as of today that is still holding strong and works perfectly fine without any problems or defects. You can't purchase new lens cover at the dealership and you have to look around in the aftermarket option. Pretty much all those covers are made in Chins so no matter where you buy one, it's going to be from same source anyway. New lens cover cost around £50-£75 and new glue/seal called BUTYL in the region of £8 - £15. Therefore your cost for such repair will be under £100 and should be worth trying.

Process is very simple, take out all parts around the light, apply heat, take out old lens cover, clear out old glue/seal, apply new glue/seal and reattach lens cover.
