Vertiefung der Elbe in Hamburg! Die Gezeiten spülen über die Jahre immer wieder Schlick in den Hafen, große Schiffe mit viel Tiefgang bekommen Probleme. Die Firma @Jan De Nul Group ist mit ihrem Saughopperbagger Spezialschiff Al-Idrisi angereist. Das Schiff ist mit einem Rüssel ausgestattet, der unter Wasser auf den Grund abgesenkt wird und Schlick ansaugt. Das Material wird an Bord gesaugt und später an geeigneter Stelle abgelassen.

The impressive trailing suction hopper Al-Idrisi of Jan de Nul Group operating in the harbor of Hamburg/Germany. The vessel is equipped with a lowerable dredge head which pumps dirt from the ground on board. Later it will be dumped outside the harbor on the open sea.
